Another of the old guard of Edisto Drive has fallen. My grandmother Irene Wadley-Ellis passed away Saturday, May 30th in East Stroudsburg, PA. You probably remember her as Kevin and Sam Singleton's grandmother that lived in the blue house on 301 next to the Palmetto Motel. She ran the Summer Lunch program at Revilon with Mrs. Lawton back in the day. She was a dynamic and loving woman and the world won't be the same without her.

The Drive sure had some good times, I lived on 2nd ave. I remember hanging out at Zippy's and walking up to Giant Food World. There was always something to get into. Shout out to my old road dogs...Pat, Tommie and Larry.

RIP Mrs. Tyler. Mrs. Galdys Tyler was a very good friend of my grandmother Mrs. Irene. I will have to let her know of her passing.
