GIRLS THESE DAY DONT WANT IT LIKE WE USE TO. A LOT OF THEM DON'T WANT TO MOVE TO THE NEXT LEVEL. A LOT OF THEM DONT WANT TO MOVE UNLESS THERE FRIENDS MOVE. THATS WHY I WANTED TO HAVE THIS BANQET IN HONOR OF COACH PELLMAN TO SHOW THESE GIRLS OUR LEGACY BECAUSE THEY REALLY DONT NOW THE BRUINETTE LEGACY. ALSO TO SHOW THEM THAT ALL WE DID WAS WIN THERE JUST SATIFIED ON BEING AVERAGE AND WE NEED TO LET THEM KNOW WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT.

THE NINETY SQUAD WAS ON POINT WE WERE FEARED BY EVERY BODY. pELLMAN WAS COACH OF THE YEAR THAT YEAR. hE ALSO COACH OUR ALL-STAR BASKETBALL GAME WERE ROBIN AND I PLAYED. WE LOST ONE GAME BECAUSE HE WANTED EVERY BODY TO PLAY. WE WERE LIKE PELLMANS KIDS WE WERE WITH HIM 24-HOURS OUT OF THE DAY. WERE NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT ONE WINNING SEASON WE PLAYED FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 3 OUT THE 4 YEARS I PLAYED VARSITY. THE 91' SQUAD FILL GYMS EVERY WHERE WE GO THE GYM WAS PACKED YALL PROBABLY WENT 24-0 BUT WE WERE THE BETTER SQUAD . WE HAD THAT SISTERLY LOVE AS WELL AS WE WERETEAM MATES. PELLMAN WAS MORE OF A FATHER FIGURE TO US THAN A COACH WHEN HE LEFT THIS WORLD I FELT I LOST MORE THAN A COACH BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONLY FATHER FIGURE SOME OF US KNOW. HE FEED US WHEN WE WAS HUNGRY. HE SHELTERED US WHEN WE HAD NO WERE TO GO. HE LOVE US WHEN THERE WAS NO LOVE. HE PROTECTED US WHEN THERE WAS NO ONE THERE . THERES NO OTHER WAY THAN I CAN DESCRIBED HIM "FATHER".
I WAS THE FIRST PLAYER TO BE NAME MISS BASKETBALL IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA. I WON MANY AWARDS AND MADE MANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS BECAUSE OF HIM AND I WANT TO SAY THANKS "PELLMAN FOR THOSE BEAUTIFUL YEARS" I KNOW YOUR COACHING IN HEAVEN R.I.P.

What's up Bruinettes! Think we should get together and do a reunion in honor of coach pellman !!! This should be a formal event. He was trying to do this before he died. He talked to me about it on many occasions. What to have this reunion and introduce all his players and there accomplishments while they were a bruinette. If someone is interested in getting this together let me know.

Whats up Bruinettes!! This year OW will be hosting the Xmas tourney. The current head Coach Josh Staley, was interested in seeing if any of us could get together and attend the tourney. He would like if we could talk to the current players a little about the legacy, what it means to wear that BRUINETTE uniform, etc. If u will be here in Orangeburg for Xmas, send me a msg or something so we can make some arrangements. Thanks!

Ohh, my goodness! I was reading through my last entry and wrote 2004 Christmas Tournament. Thant shows you that a sister in a time laspe. That was 1984.......dang I feel old. Coach Pellman did not mind cussin you guys out. I stayed out of his way. I did what he said and did what I did best.....CHEER! I feel so honored to be a Bruinette. I even felt your pain when you guys got chewed out. Nobody got it worst than his best, because he expected the best from you and some. Ms. Brunson, you were just a little kis then, but when I played and your dad was the Coach.......he didn't have to cuss much.......the sweat beading on his head and his face said it all. He would get to spitting and lisping......he just would be off his game and loose some cool points. How is big JB doing? Is he still teaching or working with the sports facility?
