Hello,

Orangeburg Wilkinson High school will have its Homecoming on friday Oct 2. We are tailgating at 5:30 until ($20.00 and selling T-shirts($10.00 and $12.00 for sizess with X) for OW Homecoming Oct 2. I know its late notice , but please spread the word. We will also be doing shout outs during the game. Also, we have a parade at 6 oclock if you are interesting in participating let me know or just come and have fun. We hope you can be there!

Class of 88, get your passports together & come aboard!

Join us for our 40th Birthday Celebration aboard the Carnival Cruise Lines, July 3 - 8, 2010. If you have any questions please Shauna Williams at vashaunb@yahoo.com or Tonia Staley at t_staley@hotmail.com.

We are looking forward to having a wonderful time. Yes, we know it's leaving out of Miami, but we are working on making arrangements for a bus for those of you who want to leave from Orangeburg and then stopping in Jacksonville to pick up some more people.

John Lamont DeTouche Obituary

Mr. DeTouche, son of Vivian DeTouche and the late Paul DeTouche, was born March 24, 1970, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He entered into eternal rest Friday, March 20.

He was educated in the Orangeburg County public schools and was graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. John was a three-sport letterman at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. He also played with the North Team in the North and South Game of 1997. He attended Savannah State College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: his mother, Vivian DeTouche of the home; a brother, Paul William DeTouche; two sons, Johnathan DeTouche and Jason DeTouche, both of Columbia; his loving aunts and uncles, Sandra Robertson of Cordova, Sharon Robertson of Los Angeles, Calif., Cherare Robertson of Md., Anthony (Eurka) Robertson of Columbia, Isaac (Pamela) Robertson of Virginia, Kathy (Dwayne) Smilling of Columbia, Bertha (Johnny) Burke of Georgia, Henrietta Edwards of Summerville, Neatha Kelly of Bowman, Dexter (Valorie) Lewis of Summerville and Daryl Kelly of Orangeburg; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Friends may call at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Vivian Robertson DeTouche, 430 Moss St., Bowman, or Simmons Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

In Memory of John L. Detouche

Many have asked about donating, floral arrangements, etc. A floral arrangement has been ordered from the using money left over from our reunion. Shauna has also agreed to collect money for a group donation from the Class of 1988 to go to his family.

If you woud like to donate, please send your check or money order to P.O. Box 2433, Orangeburg, SC 29116-2433. Please make it out to the O-W Class of 88.

John's funeral will be on Thursday at noon at the Bowman Temple Church of God in Christ, in Bowman, South Carolina. Simmons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John's Mom has requested that men from the Class of 88 serve as pallbearers. If you are attending the funeral and would be willing to participate, please call David Dantzler at 803-238-1419.

Keela, thanks for reeling us back in! Has anybody thought about possible dates for the cruise? My family reunion is next year and I def don't want to miss either one.
