I just saw that Mrs. Stoudenmire died a few months ago. She taught our class how to square dance for May Day - we all really enjoyed it! I remember getting my first jean skirt and even a ruffled shirt to look like a cowgirl, and she was really pleased with my enthusiasm! :D
I wish I had known sooner, but that doesn't take anything away from her - she was an awesome teacher.

RIP, Mrs. Stoudenmire...

I attended Whittaker Elementary 2-5. Mr. Crawford was a favorite teacher of mine.

I didnt come to whittaker til the end of third grade but i remember Ms Tanner with her paddle and how scared i used to be. I used to cry all the time and couldn't wait for school to get out so i could go to my aunt's candy store across the street (formally gramling st, now called kearse st)

Sorry about my spelling, It is late. I remember Mrs. Arrington 5th, Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Fulton 4th, Mr. Crawford 4th , Mrs. Stoudenmire 3rd, and Ms. Upgrove 2nd. And you just can forget, Mr. Nesmith and his paddle.

I rememer Mrs. Stoudenmire, sorry to hear that she passed away. She taught 3rd grade.
